weekend tradition

We've developed a new tradition of playing games with friends on the weekends. Last night was our fourth or fifth weekend of playing Settlers of Catan and Pente. They are addicting! I've decided to plan on having treats and deserts for those evenings. Next week will be caramel and apples. Probably brownies with raspberry sauce the next.

This morning Miah and Dad are watching cartoons while I research discussions on teaching research to high schoolers. The new standards for the state of Colorado came out, and we're facing some changes to our curriculum over the next year or two. What a mess! Miah, you're going to be a pro at research papers before you're done with high school.
